Two players on England’s soccer team who allegedly broke COVID-19 restrictions by inviting women to their hotel in Iceland have been dropped and will not travel on to Denmark with the squad.

Phil Foden, 20, and Mason Greenwood, 18, also face potential fines on top of international scorn for leaving the team’s secure bubble at the hotel.

England Manager Gareth Southgate called the pair “naive,” adding, “I recognize their age but the whole world is dealing with this pandemic.”
