Apple Publishes Tim Cook 'Speaking up on Racism' Statement Following George Floyd Killing

We’ve always drawn strength from diversity, welcomed people from every walk of life to our stores around the world, and strived to build an Apple that is inclusive of everyone.

The changes in the version published Thursday include adding that Apple is “continuing our work to bring critical resources and technology to underserved school systems,” and asserting that “environmental injustices… disproportionately harm Black communities and other communities of color.”

It announced that Apple is supporting the Equal Justice Initiative and other charities fighting racial inequality.

Apple has published a statement from Tim Cook, publicly responding to the death fo George Floyd.

We commit to continuing to fight the forces of environmental injustice — like climate change — which disproportionately harm Black communities and other communities of color.
