We’ve seen food delivery services such as FoodPanda and GrabFood offering contactless delivery option and now Geely is adopting similar measures when it comes to new car delivery.
The system also offers customers a home delivery option which is convenient for those who do not wish to collect their new ride from the physical dealership.
To reduce direct interaction, Geely is using drones to pass the keys directly to the new car owners at their doorstep or car park, and this is to ensure there’s a safe distance between its staff and customers at all times.
As shown in the video above, the new vehicles will be thoroughly disinfected while some interior components are covered in preparation for home delivery.
The system was developed in response to the COVID-19 outbreak and it works in tandem with the car’s air conditioner system to isolate and eliminate harmful elements in the cabin air.
